BioLike many others here at CABF, I'm a mother whose life got completely turned upside down when two of my four children were diagnosed with bipolar disorder. During that difficult and desperate time there was one thing I wanted. Okay - one thing besides a miracle cure, or better yet, for this all to be a very bad dream from which I would awaken soon. What I wanted was a book to explain the illness to my 7 year old son. That was not available in 2000 - neither was a book for siblings, a book for teachers, or a book that gave these kids a voice. That sad state of affairs lit a fire inside of me that would begin what has turned into a decade of advocacy. I'm proud to say that today mothers who are faced with the same news I was ten years ago have far more resources available to them. I'm happy to have been a part of that but I also hope that new advocates will still feel the same fire I did and make a difference for future generations. For those who would like to read my books please visit my website: http://www.bpchildren.org/bookstore.html Also visit my blog on CABF: http://www.bpkids.org/connect/blog All my best, Tracy Anglada
