BioChristine Walker is a Chicago native. Upon graduating from Lake Forest College with a degree in political science, Christine pursued her passion for public service. Working for nearly a decade in politics and government, Christine served as a speech writer, scheduler and legislative aide to elected and appointed officials and candidates in Illinois, Ohio and Washington, D.C. Christine was worked in the Illinois State Senate, Office of Lt. Governor of Illinois and in the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Congressional Affairs. For eight years, Christine worked in the Business Sales organization of Tiffany & Co. As a sales executive, Christine represented the interests of Tiffany & Co. to corporate clients throughout the Midwest, achieving back-to-back “Winner’s Circles” for sales excellence and was awarded “Rookie of the Year” for 1997. After leaving her corporate position, Christine returned to her public policy roots. Today, Christine is a legislative advocate, pursuing a Masters of Public Policy & Administration at Northwestern University. Christine works tirelessly with members of Congress and the Illinois state legislature to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. Christine was a contestant on “Jeopardy!” in January 2002. Schuyler, Christine’s oldest son, has bipolar disorder and autism and lives at a therapeutic school in Chicago. This unexpected journey led to Christine’s renewed passion for legislative advocacy.
