To Change Meds or Not to Change Meds...

To change medications or not to change medications, that is the question our family has been asking for months now. I know we aren’t alone in this debate and that you readers also have to make these tough decisions. Sometimes med changes are a ‘no brainer.’ When a medication has made things worse or your child is very unstable, there isn’t any hesitation. Change is the clear answer. It becomes much harder when your child isn’t doing bad – but isn’t doing really well either. That is the precarious position we have been in lately.

Ryan On Small Interactions Being Big Opportunities To Live

One thing I've been pondering recently are the awkward interactions I have with people at school. Mainly, the awkward interactions are with people I am friendly with, but don’t see any other time than in class or on campus because we really don’t spend our free time together. There’s always that awkward “Hello” or head nod as we pass each other, each time with nervous contemplation of whether or not to acknowledge them. Thoughts like, “Do they see me?,” “Will they acknowledge me back?,” or “Do they even remember me?” will pop into my head, because there have been numerous encounters where I do acknowledge someone and I am awkwardly waving with no response. I bring this up because...
