CHICAGO, Feb. 22: Party With the Balanced Mind Parent Network

CHICAGO, IL – The Balanced Mind Parent Network is bringing a fundraising event to The Abbey Pub on February 22nd.

The Balanced Mind Parent Network is a web-based not-for-profit organization that provides information and support to parents raising children and teens with mood disorders, including bipolar disorder and depression. This month’s event will feature live music from Sam Post & Timmy The Bass Player, and Strain Busy Sky.

The Balanced Mind Parent Network offers online information, resources, and support to educate and empower parents of children with mood disorders. These resources include 28 online support networks; a Family Helpline that guides parents to the answers they seek; a searchable local resource directory,  an online library, and forums and blogs for parents.  Podcasts and articles featuring powerful stories about the life-saving importance of education are an empowering portion of the foundation that parents take to heart.

The online community comes together to support each other through the struggles they may come to deal with while raising a child with a mood disorder. They are parents giving advice to others with similar experiences, The community really makes Balanced Mind a safe haven for any parent seeking answers, and hope.

The benefit for The Balanced Mind Parent Network at The Abbey Pub will be a night of music and drinks in support of a great cause. $30 gets you in to show your support while enjoying an open bar full of bottled domestic beer and wine.
