The Balanced Mind Foundation Volunteers Take on a New Challenge

Our 100+ volunteers are the backbone of the The Balanced Mind Foundation support programs. Their commitment to our families and children shows in the many ways that they give back on our support groups, forums, chat rooms and Family Response Team. This same commitment is showing in their enthusiasm and energy for the Pepsi Refresh Contest.  Take a look at the YouTube videos made to support our competition:

Susie, 22 year old daughter of volunteer Roberta, shares her family’s story:

Another volunteer, Janice, put wrote a moving poem about her experience with The Balanced Mind Foundation and put it to music with pictures of her son.

In addition to YouTube, our volunteers have been promoting The Balanced Mind Foundation in other creative ways:
•    Julia, assistant FRT team leader, got permission to post about The Balanced Mind Foundation on a very active parent discussion group on another site;
•    Amy, support group moderator, is ‘friending’ old high school classmates on Facebook and asking them to vote;
•    Jody, support group moderator, has her 94 year old dad and 83 year old mom voting every day;
•    Other volunteers are targeting the youth vote (great for text and Facebook voting) through their jobs, their teens, their friends.

Thank you to our loyal and dedicated volunteers as well as our 1000s of The Balanced Mind Foundation friends who are working so hard to get the vote out!!!
