Taste Perversion

Apparently this is a possible side-effect for most of these meds, and it seems to have happened with my son's Seroquel. It has severely limited his diet. No meat, few veggies, no fruit--I can't even force him to go to McDonald's for junk! However, he's ravenously hungry, so not being able to find food he can eat is causing a lot of rages. Any experiences with this taste thing and did it get better once the med was removed? Better yet, anything that seemed to help it without stopping the med?

What is the taste problem he is having? Is it a metallic taste? A lot of meds can do that. Also, people who are extra-sensitive sense-wise may notice subtle taste changes that others wouldn't. Does anything taste good to him?
