Saphris or Celexa causing worsening anger
Daughter just started on saphris one dose. Been on celexa for 3 weeks. Very bad anger today. Worse than usual.
Either saphris is going to aggravate or celexa is still worsening right along and getting worse and worse.
Any ideas? We have to continue to give and watch and see. In 2 weeks at next app. I am going to ask AGAIN to stop
the celexa. If she starts raging, we may have to stop the saphris. So hard to know. Will call their office first.

Pilgrim, you have a new pdoc, right? I'm thinking they would be open to the idea that she doesn't tolerate AD's. Can you call them today?

Senseless raging caused us to call their emergency number which directed us to the ER. There they contacted one of their clinic's pdocs, who agreed we should
stop the Saphris. Now we are back to just lithium and celexa. Not good, but not insane raging, either. They told us to call Tuesday to see a pdoc that day.
Don't know what they will do. Do know that even though her lithium was raised from 300 x 2 to 300 x 3, her levels are still testing at .6. Don't know why
the levels don't raise. Had been on the increased doseage for about 2 weeks. So she is really only on 900 mg. lithium with levels at .6 and 10 mg. of celexa.
This is almost no meds for her, excepting for the SSRI which she has never used successfully before. Sticking with the new clinic and their ropes and advice.
Hoping to build our files under one roof and benefit from their mistakes on our way to stability. Still hopeful. Brought her home, telling them we did not
want inpatient, though it is EXTREMEMLY hard at home with her.
Guess you could say we ushered the New Year in with fireworks!
P.S. We DID try to tell him about the failed SSRI trials, but he did not want to listen.

Ughhh. I hate when docs don't listen to patients. It is just so frustrating. Good luck with your appt. on Tues.
