Tired of waiting.  On 3 mg. for one week and now 6 mg. for one week, and mania continuing to worsen.

FWIW, Invega did not touch my daughters symtoms like Risperdal did.  She tried Invega a good 6-weeks with no luck (got up to 6mgs), then her pdoc switched her back to Risperdal with much better success.

My daughter is primarily depressed rather than manic. Invega Sustenna (substained release Invega) stablized her within a week of her first injection. First injection was 156mg (equivalent to 9mg daily). Her second injection, which was 1 week after the first was 117mg (equivalent to 6mg daily). Her monthly dose is 39mg (equivalent to 1.5mg daily).

Invega Sustenna is also available in 78mg (equivalent to 3mg daily) and 234mg (equivalent to 12mg daily). In adults with Schitzophrinia rhe first dose is 234mg followed a week later by  156mg. The recommended monthly dose is 117mg. There is no dosing standards for Bipolar and children as it is not approved for bipolar or children. Daily Invega is also not approved for Bipolar or children. It is approved for Schitzoaffective disorder in adults, which Invega Sustenna is not.
