Can Stiumlants cause Paranoia?

My son was on Focalin for 4 days. Each evening he was acting paranoid saying he was afraid. Can this be from the stimulant? I took him off the Focalin on Saturday. But he was still paranoid last night.

Meds - 900mg Lithium, 5 mg Zyprexa, Focalin XR 10mg
I'm not sure about paranoia but I do know it can cause anxiety/edginess

Older dd: formerly(?) teen-onset bipolar (morphed into ultradian cycling): "Recovered" after over 13 years - stable off psych meds almost two years. Now fine on just diet changes and higher thyroid levels (after healing - addressing gut issues/Candidal overgrowth while using EMPowerPlus and other supplements). She added a little EMpowerPlus back on as a multivitamin simply because she feels better on it - gets sick less often.
Younger dd: formerly(?) Childhood-onset schizoaffective, TS, OCD, anxiety, PTSD, migraines. After over 15 years, is now "recovered" for almost 5 years after treating endocrine issues, food sensitivities, gut issues, sleep issues, nutritional/mitochondrial needs.

Funny but my son also had the same reaction from that medication. He however would not leave the house for fear that bees would attack him. It was 48 hours of hell. I couldn't leave his side at all. I only gave him one dose and that was his reaction. Just hang in there because it doesn't last long, however it feels like it when you are in the middle of it. Good luck.
