need ideas for supports for high school students with dyslexia

Our daughter is an eleventh grader, has bipolar, ADHD, Dyslexia, along with learning disabilities in reading, written expression, math, and spelling.

Throughout middle school she was allowed audio versions of reading materials. Now that she is in high school, the school says they have no access to audio recorded novels or books she must read for English classes. Does anyone know how I would get access to the audio recorded texts or movies etc. of the books she needs to read? She is failing English at this time because she has missed so much school due to illness, medication issues, and fear of bullying at school that she was not there to hear the discussions about the book. She is supposed to have completed an extensive study guide over the novel, but did not do it because she didn't know the answers. She will have a test soon over the novel, "Light in the Forest."

These are the novels she will need to read  for this year.

The Light in the Forest-Conrad Richter(Currently reading)

The Crucible-Arthur Miller(Semester 1)-This is in the textbook

Of Mice and Men-John Steinbeck(Semester 2)

 Any ideas would help.

Thanks.

Check out learnoutloud.com. I don't know if they'll have all the titles but they have a lot of literary classics, and it's a pretty reasonable subscription price.

This might be worthwhile, especially if they have any of your daughter's textbooks in audio format.

I was just about to suggest Learning Ally as well. They have been around for decades--used to be Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic--and have tens of thousands of audiobooks available. I think they will even record specific books at your request, although that would obviously take a while.

The books your daughter is studying are all classics and might be available in audio form through the public library as well.
