There was a story on this on NPR last night. Their website is www.npr.org.

Apparently the process of getting one is pretty daunting, the application is 100 pages.  But the mother on the story got a grant of $80,000 and was able to put her child in a residential therapeutic school for a year.

I know in indiana we have a government website. www.in.gov.com  You can search most state grants.  Perhaps your state has a website as well?
