Natural antihistamines?
Wondering if anyone knows of any natural antihistamines. The pdoc had recommended Standard Process Antronex, but it has soy in it. This is for me, so I do not want to ask her for me bc I am not her patient. I suspect I have high histamine levels and am taking SAMe 400 mg every day, but I also have food allergies and take benedryl a little too often than I would like. Plus 20 mg of Zyrtec just makes it so I can function, not take it away completely

Boswellia is similar to Singulair.
There is Rosmarinic Acid with or without butterbur. Nettles (I think it is actually stinging nettles?)
And there is a wonderful product that works as fast and as well as taking benadryl for allergic rhinitis (although I can't get past the taste-you suck on them-but my younger daughter and my dad swear by it) - Aller-Rescue

Older dd: formerly(?) teen-onset bipolar (morphed into ultradian cycling): "Recovered" after over 13 years - stable off psych meds almost two years. Now fine on just diet changes and higher thyroid levels (after healing - addressing gut issues/Candidal overgrowth while using EMPowerPlus and other supplements). She added a little EMpowerPlus back on as a multivitamin simply because she feels better on it - gets sick less often.
Younger dd: formerly(?) Childhood-onset schizoaffective, TS, OCD, anxiety, PTSD, migraines. After over 15 years, is now "recovered" for almost 5 years after treating endocrine issues, food sensitivities, gut issues, sleep issues, nutritional/mitochondrial needs.
Would the Aller-Rescue work for food allergy reactions? Itching? Thanks!!!

Great question. I don't know. For a food reaction, I take Benadryl, and so does my older daughter. I have an epipen at home, but I do not take one with me - I try to be very careful. My younger daughter and father take the Aller-Rescue the same way we take the Benadryl, so the answer may be "Yes" but I cannot know that for sure.
I DO KNOW there is a product a person can take before eating a meal that potentially MAY have some gluten or dairy in it to LESSEN the severity of the repercussions of that. It is NOT a preventative. It is NOT something that means the person can just go ahead and eat the stuff. It is just recommended as a "just in case" like when you are tracelling and are still as careful as you can be....
And I cannot remnember the name of the product but my older daughter took a couple samples when we were at the medical conference and that vendor was there, so perhaps she can give me the name of the product. If so, I'll let you know.
