Caseine affecting moods

In what ways do you find that caseine affects moods.  Our daughter has tested severely allergic to the caseine in dairy, yet she insists on eating

cheese every chance she gets, especially when she is not with me.  She wants to insist it does not bother her, of course.  But her moods are so bad

so much of the time that who can tell?  I can't afford any negative influence and try to tell her that she cannot afford to risk eating cheese.

Any observations from your experiences, or good articles I could have her read?

THANKS!

The more she craves a food, the more likely the addiction is real opium like addiction.  In fact casein form casomorphin, which activates opium centers in the brain.  When you cut it out, you may even get withdrawal symptoms.

While our daughter is completely different than yours, she would only eat bread, yogurt and cheese.  We then cleaned out the fridge and cut both dairy and gluten from the diet, and within 2 days she was a completely changed girl.  Since then, we've still had our struggles, but it has not been that bad again.  Now we don't eat any grains at all.

In what ways do you find that caseine affects moods.

Casein = Depression

Casein = Ultradian Cycling Bipolar.

Casein = Not being able to think straight and having impaired judgement / reasoning skills.

Casein = lack of self esteem and sense of self and unable to have healthy boundaries.

All that is what casein did to my kids.... BUT... grains were a large part, and since getting off grains, the older one, who was so highly sensitive to casein is at least a little less so.

We had no idea how bad she was from casein because she ate it all the time. She absolutely loved loved loved milk and cheese. She loved grilled cheese sandwiches and milk... all gluten and casein. It wasn't until she was off it a while and had a tiny bit we were STUNNED at the effect - EXACTLY the same as what had been called her ultradian cycling bipolar disorder - the SAME illness the same symptoms for which she'd been repeatedly in a psych hospital and on psychiatric medications for and had lost the last 13 years of her life over.

What to read?  Will any reading you give her help? I used to give my older daughter things to read and she would not / could not. She was too cognitively impaired!  It took her getting at least partially stable and huge will, lots of therapy, doing DBT workbooks, and struggling to get her brain thinking better through the fog to be able to even start chagning her life. She started with the EMPowerPlus and slowly weaning off meds, and slowly cutting down on carbs in general.

If she can cope with the reading, there is medical research dating back 35 years on pubmed about the effects of gluten and dairy - causing psychiatric symptoms in some people.

Older dd: formerly(?) teen-onset bipolar (morphed into ultradian cycling): "Recovered" after over 13 years - stable off psych meds almost two years. Now fine on just diet changes and higher thyroid levels (after healing - addressing gut issues/Candidal overgrowth while using EMPowerPlus and other supplements). She added a little EMpowerPlus back on as a multivitamin simply because she feels better on it - gets sick less often.
Younger dd: formerly(?) Childhood-onset schizoaffective, TS, OCD, anxiety, PTSD, migraines. After over 15 years, is now "recovered" for almost 5 years after treating endocrine issues, food sensitivities, gut issues, sleep issues, nutritional/mitochondrial needs.

Makes Brandon super ADHD and irritable.  You have to get her off if it for a while before you see a difference.  My son was off over a month before he slipped and had a nasty reaction and he recognized it which is HUGE in avoiding it.  Get fake cheese!   Have her read The Ultramind Solution!  Gluten is huge for my son as well
