Welcome

Sometimes we just need to punch out and talk about anything BUT our child's diagnosis, medications, school challenges, side effects, rages . . . So here's a forum where you can refuel your batteries virtually and escape.

I'll start the conversation with this question:  If time travel were a reality, what time period would you like to travel to (forwards or backwards) and why?

I'd love to go back to the 1930's to see what my parent's and grandparents lives were like growing up and to meet my grandfather and uncle, both who died before I was born.

Def 30- 33 AD... Christ was around. Kickin' it with the disciples. If I was in the same boat as I am now, with darling, darling son on board... I would be clinging to that tunic and begging for help like there was no tomorrow.

Love, love the new Forums. Maybe all our newbies won't get so lost in the fray. Speaking of Newbies.... and since I am on a roll here -- [DH out of town. Up late on the net (fun life, yes). ] Anyone catch "Eclipse" yet? I know you're out there... With all the hormones on this site, surely I am not the only Twilight mom. Can you say "ESCAPE"? Mmmmmmm. Edward take me away!!!!!!!

Glad you like the new forums, Heather and thanks for your suggestions and feedback.  My girls haven't seen Eclipse yet but it's on their 'to do' list for the next day or two!  Maybe we can have an 'Eclipse' discussion once people have seen the movie!

No,  I haven't seen it yet, but I can't wait!  Maybe this WE...

We've had a ton of rain related distantly to the hurricane.  Must have rained at least 3 inches last night.  Drizzled/mizzled all day today, it's still going on.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and I don't have to drive my kids around all day.  Only one activity is planned.  Hey, maybe I'll see a movie tomorrow :-)

Brenda you must be in Texas, I'm in Louisiana and my kids hate the Rain.  My boys are going on a BSA Trip and I have 5 days to my self and I may go see a movie!

Actually I'm in the panhandle of FL.  It is still mizzling out there.  I feel like I live in Scotland!

You lucky dog--5 days with the kids away.  I think if we were ever able to manage that, DH and I would take a trip together.  I do have a couple of movies in mind.  Rented "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" from Netflix, and I need to see it so I can get to the next movie on my list with them.

Yes I know, and Its an all male trip so I feel no guilt.  This is the 2nd one this summer!  I don't get the normal visitations because my ex only gets them 8 hours 1 day a week.  The first was for there BSA camp were they go and do merit badges, this one is all fun.  At first I did not understand how my son did so good with them, but has trouble at day care camp.  That is how I figured the over stimulation with him.  So I'm relaxing , I'm going get my toes done, and all the good things that a mom can do!
