WE DID IT! The Balanced Mind Foundation had a tremendous opportunity to receive up to $50,000 if we could raise a matching amount between November 1 and December 31st. You enabled us to exceed our goals, which in turn allows The Balanced Mind Foundation to provide support to more families.

Extending Mental Health Coverage There are very few, if any, direct mental health provisions in the congressional health care legislation that has passed in the House and is now awaiting Senate approval. The Psychiatric Times highlights several provisions which may benefit patients.
Special Education Funds Redirected A provision in federal law allows some school districts to spend millions of dollars of special education money elsewhere, and a government report indicates many districts plan to take advantage of the provision.
